World 500cc Motorcycle Champion Wayne Gardner’s two sons are following in their father’s tyre tracks.  Fifteen year old Remy and thirteen year old Luca are ‘Team Gardner Racing’ [TGR].

The boys started competing on dirt bikes in 2008 and were very quickly addicted to the sport their father has had so much success in.

Since this time Wayne has trained the boys in dirt track, longtrack, and road racing.

In 2011 Remy commuted to Spain to compete in his first season of road racing, in the Campeonato Mediterráneo de Velocidad" (CMV), finishing 2nd in the Pre GP Moto3 Champiionship at the end of the season.   Both boys also competed in selected Australian events in the Motorcycle Road Racing Development Association (MRRDA) Junior Championship throughout that first season, as well as local, state and national Dirt Track and Longtrack racing.

In 2012 TGR relocated to Barcelona Spain in order for Remy and Luca to seriously pursue their racing careers.  Remy competed in the Campeonato de Espana de Velocidad (CEV) in the Moto3 category, and Luca spent the season training on the Spanish circuits in preperation to compete this year.  It was a tough initiation process for TGR, living and racing in Spain, however the valuable lessons learned will be put to good use this season, and Remy and Luca are looking forward to an exciting year of racing in the most competitive environment available. 

In 2013 Remy will ride for Team Laglisse in the CEV on a KTM250 in the Moto 3 class.

Luca will race in the Pre-Moto 3 Category of the CMV on his Moriwaki MD250, riding for Team Briefing Competició.
